Slap-a-Rhyme–we say a word, a student supplies a word that may rhyme with the first word, then we give it the “slap your knee” test.Using touch as we make a word really makes us notice where the sound lives. We use a variety of oral practice activities EVERY day during our morning meeting. For counting pieces, we use bug shaped mini erasers, but beans or other small objects will work just fine! The cute tweezers are heavy duty plastic tweezers from Dollar Tree. This cute “Tweezer Pleaser” counting activity will keep littles busy matching beans to spring characters by counting their attributes.
